Description
Aaton: Through its work on the synchronisation of sounds and images with its time-marking system called AatonCode , Aaton has always been attuned to the needs of sound mixers.
Our first machine in the hands of sound mixers appeared in 1980, called OriginC+ it is used to carry around and load the time of day and date into all time recording devices working together on location e.g. Nagras, DATs, HDD recorders, and Panavision/Arri/Aaton Cameras.
Then came a sound recorder devoted product called GMT-S, a small low power high precision time keeper and Smpte generator designed to replace the internal clocks of sound recorders well known to be not accurate enough and suffering from abrupt TC jumps when changing batteries.
In 1997 the InDaw audio workstation was introduced, it is todate the most important Aaton contribution to the art of sound for film and video.
It offers an automatic slate detector and ultrafast seek & sync delays which tremendously speed-up the audio syncing process. It also solves all the fps/sample-rate/Smpte standard mismatches that post-prodution audio engineers have to handle....

The Wave:Space Active Control Room Monitor Systems are the latest in an evolutionary series of control room monitors. Now featuring a high frequency ribbon driver capable of producing extremely high sound pressure levels, the system is ideally suited to the critical listening environment.
The unique high frequency driver utilizes a flat, rectangular diaphragm where the driving force is an integrated part of the sound radiating surface, resulting in an extremely low mass. The natural advantage is not only a flat frequency response to beyond 30 kHz but also superior transient performance and several orders of magnitude less distortion than the more familiar compression driver and horn combination which it replaces.
The low frequency drivers are equally innovative, employing a multi-magnet cluster to reduce distortion and improve cooling. Both single and dual woofer systems are available.
The complete system also includes appropriate power amplifiers, 4th order Bessell active crossovers, and 1/3 octave equalizers. The standard cabinets are finished in black lacquer. Custom sizes and wood veneers are available.
passive series: The Wave:Space Passive Control Room Monitor Systems are identical to the biamped series with one exception. The passive series utilizes an extremely high quality passive crossover system in place of the 4th order Bessell active crossover.
