Avandel Guitars are based in Wales and Produce High Quality Handmade Acoustic Guitars to Customer Specification. Custom Manufactured instruments at excellant prices.
Founded in 2004, Avandel Guitars is owned and run by Russell Rose - initially a very keen guitarist, Russell
turned his hand to building guitars as a hobby some time ago.
Greatly encouraged by positive feedback about the instruments he was producing from keen fellow guitarists,
some of whom work as professional musicians, and recognising a demand in the market for a tailored service
which could be provided at a competitive rate, the inspiration to set up Avandel Guitars started to take shape ...

I wanted an electric guitar, solid wood and heavy, but I didn't like the models available, especially the two most popular. I sat down on my computer and drew the drawing you see in the background. For the body I combined the basic guitar shape with violin cutouts and through the body, thick f-holes, for vintage styling. I never liked the plastic covers of pickgaurds used to hide the electronics, even nice wood plates took away the beauty of the front and back. I decided to hide the electronics through a thick maple cap located on the lower side of the guitar. The pickguard is made of veneer to match the faceplate of the headstock. An oversized paddle style headstock perfectly balances the guitar ...

The Tippin Guitars features the Tippin designed Bravado, Crescendo and OMT, in addition to the more traditional 00T, 000T, Dreadnought and Jumbo style guitars. The OMT, 000T12 Bravado and Crescendo guitars produced at the Tippin Guitar Company are Bill Tippin's designs with features that make them distinct from other guitars on the market. A variety of styles and options are available which range from the elegantly simple to the tastefully ornate.
"Coming from a furniture making and boat building
background I felt I had enough skills to build a good guitar. My first guitar was a kit from Martin Guitar Co. When I received the kit I realized it wasn't going to be a "paint by numbers" project. I wanted to make a perfect guitar. I proceeded to educate myself with every bit of information from books that I could find on the subject to people who would lend a hand. 4-5 months later I started my guitar and it turned out great, at least I thought so. Friends began to ask me if I would build guitars for them. Word spread, and I found that more and more of my time was taken up with building and repairing guitars. This eventually led to the creation of the Tippin Guitar Company" ...
