bj overdrive
Description
BJ Overdrive is a plug-in that simulates an overdriven amplifier for the PC. Instead of just clipping the input signal, it shapes the signal in a logarithmic manner. The result is a very warm distortion, a bit like an overdriven valve. The author notes that the plug-in is especially useful on guitar samples, but also on breakbeats.

CMT Bitcrusher plugin is very simple and easy to use. There are only three sliders and three switches to choose from. This section explains the functionality of switches and sliders plus the basic math behind in the plugin. The signal flow of the plugin goes from up to down. This means that input signal is processed in the following way:

Extremist is a VST multi-effect plugin for guitars on Windows OS. It's main purpose is distorting guitar signal to receive 'extremely heavy sound'. This effect is NOT a tube amplifier simulator, and it is NOT a cabinet simulator, however some methods of altering signal are similar to tube amplification characteristics, but only similar!
The effect works in stereo mode, without any latency. It uses 15-band stereo equalizer. It's optimized to use SSE instruction set for Pentium II or newer processors.
