c-ducer
Description
C-ducer is a capacitive transducer with a flat frequency response extending well beyond that of human hearing. Less than 1mm thick , the microphone is flexible, extremely light and will conform to curved surfaces such as a double bass body or a drum shell.
Exceptional transient response and high immunity to ambient sounds makes C-ducer a natural choice for amplyfying many acoustic instruments, from pianos to drums.
C-ducer contact tape microphones have a very high-impedance output, in order to make them usable a preamp is supplied with each microphone. These preamps need power - there are two types of power: Battery or Phantom Power.

We started our business in 1991 as distributors and system integrators of professional audio equipment. During the years we equipped many studios, broadcast stations, discoteques, clubs etc. Amongst our satisfied customers are Radio France International, Classic FM, Jazz FM, FM+, Bulgarian National Radio and many others. In 2001 we started intensive work in the field of manufacturing of High End loudspeakers and studio monitors. We have unconventional outlook about modern loudspeaker systems and we believe that the building of a loudspeaker is creation. This is the same as to create a painting, poem or music. To create a masterpiece it’s necessary to be a genius or at least have a talent. Our systems are a cocktail of talent, brains, passion, high technologies and much hard work. We believe that it’s not enough only ears to enjoy the magnificent sound created by our systems. We offer you a real pleasure for the eyes too. In our creations you will find not only beautiful shapes but also prestigious materials like solid wood, metal, leather, stones etc. The form follows the function. We start from the drawing desk. We use LinearX and CAD software for the acoustical and engineering calculations and drawings. We have spent hundreds of hours in the anechoic chamber for precise measurements and corrections if it’s necessary. And the magic of the centuries: we use the same casting techniques as the ancient Thracian jewelers. Our loudspeakers are literally born from the flame. They are totally hand crafted. Every one needs more than 30 hours hand treatment before to be ready for you. We will not lose your time speaking about revolutions and evolutions. We will give you the opportunity to receive full pleasure for your ears and eyes in a timeless creation. We do not want our systems to be anonymous source of sound. Ambient Recording was formed by two sound recordists in 1989 as a sound equipment rental and sound transfer facility to augment and coordinate the services we were offering.
Chris Price an engineer trained at AEI and Siemens had been working as a sound recordist since 1974 working on documentaries TV dramas and feature films shot in Germany, and had also been a founding member in 1976 of Gruppe III Amsel Cineton, an equipment sales and rental company in Munich.
Gunter Knon hat spent some time working with Dedo Weigert as a Technician developing high speed video recorders and had afterwards gone into film sound recording where he had been working for several years before Ambient was formed as a company.
Ambient, due to its experience in the sound recording field soon began selling film and video sound equipment. This activity became a large part of the company business which it is today.
The idea of making our own products came from our interest in the profession and also because we felt there was still great room for improvement in available products.
The first of these was the Quickpole range of booms, and the Clockit portable timecode equipment, now there is a whole palette of sound and sync products.
Ambient soon became regular vistors to the AES, IBC and NAB trade shows where our products were shown and a network of dealers representing our products was formed...
