Description
The Centurions continue to travel the southeast singing, witnessing, and praising God. Established in September 1971, Ronnie and Joette Carroll founded the group as a ministry with the purpose of spreading the word that Jesus saves and forgives. Joette is blessed with a worship spirit and vocal clarity and smoothness that can only be a gift from God. Ronnie has a unique style and range that can fill in on any part and yet provide the smooth harmony required for Southern Gospel music. Wayne Langston, enhances the group with a wonderful worshiping spirit, and a dynamic lead - baritone voice that presents Jesus as Lord and Savior to all. Together their harmony, testimony, and presentation opens the door to worship. Yes, they have their light hearted moments, but they also know how to sing with the power of God in their voices. I am so blessed to have been brought up with Jesus in my life. I was born and raised in Panama City, Florida.
As I was growing up, I knew nothing but to sing in church with my family. I loved the family ministry. It was wonderful to stand united with your family and bring Jesus into the lives of people that you sang to. I knew I always wanted to sing!
In 1981 I married my high school sweetheart, Terry Kirkland. Terry and I have been married for 23 years. We have a daughter, Lacy, she is 19. We also have a son, Terry Lee, that is 13.
Terry and I are very active in our home church, Hiland Park Baptist Church in Panama City.
We are so thankful that the Lord has opened the doors of opportunity for us to travel and expand our ministry areas. It is awesome to know that the Lord is guiding our every footstep. In January of 2000, we travelled to the Phillipines. We sang in 6 different villages and saw 200 souls saved. That experience was life-changing for me. I will never forget the hunger on the faces of the people to receive more of Jesus than they had ever experienced before ...

Loretta's love for the Lord and her desire to serve Him is the driving force in who she is and all she does. She is sensitive to the opportunities which God puts before her to minister for Him. There is nothing to big or too small for her to undertake if she feels God leading that way.
She may have traveled across country to cut a CD or perform on stage but will take the time to shop for that special little "something" for someone in need, pray for a homeless gentleman on the street corner, or lay hands on a woman having difficulty walking.
She has personally experienced the healing power of God in her own life. She is no stranger to pain and disease. Loretta had congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema that required the use of oxygen 24 hours a day, crippling rheumatoid arthritis confining her to a wheel chair for several years. She was also diagnosed with liver disease and also a possible brain tumor. But God has healed her of them all. She has grown to understand the true meaning of "The just shall live by faith" for it is her faith and God's grace that has carried her through.
