The idea behind Burnstone Custom Guitars is to capture that great tone that comes from using a combination of the best materials. Ash, alder, and comparable bodies. Nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. The best pickups, pots, switches, jacks, and circuit wire. Bone nuts. All the stuff that makes the difference between a good guitar, and a GREAT guitar.
During my years as a guitar tech, I've installed a countless number of pickups that promised to give that perfect vintage tone. Many of those pickups were wound to "original specs", yet still lack the color and tone of the vintage instruments ...

The accoustic Guitar has a certain timbre, a quality which distinguishes sounds of the same pitch given by instruments or different human voices: baritones, sopranoes, etc..
The acoustic guitar has also a certain pitch: faster or slower frequency of the same note. But this doesn't have to interfere with the intensity of the sound effect, given by the musical dynamics of the guitarist interpretation ...
While building my instruments I apply a new technique, different to that of my luthier colleagues. Bass and treble sounds are enhanced with musical intent. While lower-pitched sounds represent the base, higher-pitched ones conform the 'presence' of the musical speech (like sopranoes in choirs) ...
Besides all of the musical concepts I apply to my guitar building, I've incorporated PERFECT TUNING in all the guitars I've created and repaired. I guarantee that all of my instruments will have PERFECT TUNING (something I haven't found yet in other instruments) being that one of the distinguishing characteristics of my instruments.
This characteristic is also very noticeable on my electric guitars, resulting in a more clear and pure sound, because all oscillations produced by bad tuning are eliminated.
It took me years of investigation and experimentation, but nowadays I can sell all my instruments with the complete certainty that they will TUNE each note perfectly, and it's a lifetime warranty im giving on that (while the instrument maintains the acceptable use conditions).

Aparte de todos los conceptos musicales que aplico en la construcción de mis guitarras, he incorporado AFINACION PERFECTA en todas las guitarras que fabrico y reparo. Garantizo que todos mis instrumentos tendrán AFINACION PERFECTA (algo que no he encontrado todavía en otros instrumentos) siendo esta una de las características que distinguen a mis instrumentos.
Esta característica ademas se hace notable en mis guitarras electricas, ya que una AFINACION PERFECTA elimina todos los batidos resultantes de pequeñas desafinaciones logrando asi un sonido mucho mas CLARO.
Me llevo años de investigación y experimentación, pero hoy en día puedo vender todos mis instrumentos con la completa certeza de que AFINARAN cada nota perfectamente, y doy una garantía de por vida en cuanto a este tema (mientras el instrumento este en condiciones de uso aceptables).

Taku Sakashta played rock and roll guitars early in his life, starting in elementary schools. While reading about the guitar designer Rick Turner, he realized he would become a guitar builder. He began refinishing his own guitars, and later graduated from luthier engineering school at eighteen. He has worked in research, design, and development for a major guitar company in Japan and United States, making prototypes and endorsement projects.
In 1995 Taku independently began designing and crafting guitars for the general public in addition to professional musicians. He has recently built guitars for musicians including Tony Darren, Robben Ford, Tony Macus, Boz Scaggs, Ellen Stephenhorst, and Martin Simpson, and is designing a guitar for Tuck Andress and Pat Martino.
All his designs combine traditional and innovative elements for exceptional sound and playability, tempered for each individual musician. Craftsmanship is of the highest quality using the best materials available. Finish and appearance are recognized as superb.
