Chime machine:
The Chime Machine effect started life as a spatial enhancer, and then mutated into the comb filtering delay machine it is today. There are four comb filters/delay units inside Chime Machine, and a novel automatic dynamic routing system. As the name suggests, Chime Machine specialises in producing chiming, spatial effects.
Whistler produces its sound by sending white noise through a resonating bandpass filters. The notes you play control the filter's cutoff freqency. A standard ADSR envelope modifies the
amplitude. free vst plugin, pc.
Resonnant Filters Set :
- one input to sixteen outputs
- sixteen eight poles band-pass filters
- individual control of the frequency and the resonance
- grouped controls curves : ascending and descending, bell and random
- animation of the curves by four cyclic modulators
Square-o-matic is made up from some pieces:
Envelope-Follower,
Square-maker,
Lowpass filter with resonance (cutoff is controlled by the env-follower).
There are four parameters:
Falloff this controls the env-follower.
Cutoff follow this multiplies the range of the env-follower, you should adjust this depending on the amplitude of the signal.
Lowest cutoff this offsets the range of the env-follower.
Resonance
Square-o-matic will try to create square waves from other waves. It works best on sond that are symmetrical. That is, the upper halve (above zero) of the wave is similar to the lower halve (below zero).
Tom BandPass is a simple band pass filter. Sometimes you just want a simple, highly efficient filter that sounds good. If that's what you want, then this is your filter.
All TomPak filters are biquad filters based on transfer functions which are derived from analog prototypes. They are written in C++ to be highly efficient.
