Description
Harmonical: A crazy instrument which uses spherical harmonics to modulate the vertices of a sphere. These vertices are then used to generate waveforms for a simplistic additive synthesis engine. Uses opengl to display the modulated spheres (one for every voice). Pretty high cpu usage due to the need to re-calculate 1024 vertices 100 times a second though.

SpectriX is a high-end VST insert effect Plugin for mastering songs. It simply enhances treble. It can also be use to reconstuct high frequencies on MP3 files and tape recordings which are lost due to high compression rates.
Most exciters work well on monophonic material. On polyphonic material they create intermodulation-distortion which is audible as “frizzle-noise” and treble “bursts”.
Spectrix if different - it works excellent will all kind of audio material: Speech, monophonic sounds and complex polyphonic mixes and does 100% sample exact processing.

3. exiter
Exciter - An Aural Exciter
Based on hardware units, this plugin creates extra high frequencies based upon what's already there in the upper mids. This is done by applying a gentle distortion (clipping) to the upper mids, such that the harmonics generated add to the high-frequency components of the signal.
Try this on drum overheads, hi-hats, flute or whatever you fancy really.
One word of warning, the effect is very addictive. Gently does it!
Controls:
CutOff - Signals above the Cutoff frequency will be processed
Drive - The amount of distortion applied to the signal (you need less when CutOff is low)
Amount - The amount of processed signal applied.
Please note. This plugin does reduce the overall signal level very slightly when amount/drive is low. This is so that the unit does not provide 'too much' signal back to the host application.
