Head acoustics
Head acoustics
Description
Homepage HEAD acoustics GmbH.
HEAD acoustics GmbH was started in 1986: a small team of four people set on establishing a new concept in the marketplace: head-related recording and playback technology. Some people thought there was only a small chance of success! Head-related
recording and playback technology

Today, AACHENHEAD® Technology, thanks to its technical simulation of the human auditory apparatus, has set new horizons in this field. In marked contrast to conventional microphones, this technology makes it possible to record sound situations in a way analogous to how humans perceive them. Simulation of human hearing
Aurally-equivalent sound diagnosis enables identification of the negative components of a sound, identifying possible approaches to improving sound quality by introducing targeted (and thus cost-effective) countermeasures. Hundreds of Artificial Head Measuring Systems and PC-supported acoustic analysis systems in use world-wide ensure, for example, that manufacturers and suppliers in the automobile sector can freely exchange measurement data and analysis results in a way which bridges all linguistic barriers ...

Since 1990 the trend towards entirely digital audio devices has been obvious and analog inputs and outputs have gradually become almost extinct. All QUANTEC products are designed to incorporate the latest engineering trends. All have EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) incorporated directly into their multilayer PC boards (distributed capacitors) using micropitch technology, as well as surface-mounted SMD components. All basic functions and algorithms are incorporated into special chips, which cannot be copied - Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

QUANTEC products draw on 2 ideas patented by Wolf Buchleitner. All new QUANTEC products meet the legislative standards of current electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) legislation and bear the CE logo and declaration of conformity. In the case of our broadcasting center clock tree components, our standards are indeed set far higher than the legal requirements. We regularly demonstrate that EMC is never left to chance at QUANTEC through spectacular high-voltage demos at trade fairs ...
The current switch from analog to digital technology has created a particularly acute demand for professional audio equipment. The current rapid expansion of the field is driven primarily by this demand. The market can be divided into two broad sectors: on the one hand »radio and TV broadcasting,« and »others« Those »others« include:

recording studios,
dubbing studios,
music venues and theaters,
movie studios,
and providers of turnkey sound engineering services.

At Spielberg Audio we design and manufacture high-end monitors, and home theatre speaker systems. We use these monitors in our own reference quality 24/88.2 digital studio everyday. It is our belief that in order to build gear that is truly accurate one most have first hand knowledge with both sides of the microphone. Spielberg Audio Labs provides its expert audio-consulting services to professional studios, and other hardware manufactures. SAL also represents many high-end professional manufactures including Audio Technica, Canare, Presonus, and TL Audio, and Parasound.
All of our drivers are carefully selected and matched for optimum linearity, smoothness of dispersion pattern, and ultra low distortion. All woofers have cast magnesium frames, mineral filled polycones (Composite Kevlar in the case of the Monitor I, and II, and rubber surrounds and high temperature voice coils. Our two way speakers use a very low distortion HI VI Planar Mid/Tweeter, or the Seas metal dome tweeter with very smooth response on and off axis up to 25khz. Our three way designs make use of ultra low distortion LFT planar magnetic midranges (or the very dynamic LPG metal dome mid), polycone Midbass drivers, and HI VI planar tweeters. These planar drivers offer an amazing transparency, sense of space, and reproduction of detail. You can close your eyes and these cabinets literally disappear in the sound field due the vanishing low driver distortion and lack of cabinet resonance ...

In 1979 the vision of Hugh Sarvis to fill the need for a high–end road worthy speaker system came together with the creation of Woodworx and Roadworx. Mr. Sarvis had worked tirelessly for many years studying audio engineering and music in the effort to design, build and use his own speaker system. He had a desire to build a sound system that would become an innovation to the audio industry.

Though the year’s Roadworx began providing production for many internationally known artists and groups such as Alabama, Wynonna Judd, and Waylon Jennings. Roadworx provided exclusive sound reinforcement for all type’s of productions, and began to gain national recognition for their innovative designs and sound quality. With the popularity of Woodworx speaker designs growing among artists, sound engineers, and end users, the process of selling to the general public only seemed the right thing to do.

By the mid 1980’s Woodworx introduced the Max Series line of speaker enclosures. This series filled the need for a heavy duty, high-end pro audio touring enclosure, which would provide superior sound quality at a high SPL level. While undergoing several style changes and never-ending research, the Max Series has remained true to the original design concept of providing the utmost in reliability.

In 1991 Woodworx signed an exclusive agreement with TAD (Technical Audio Devices) a division of Pioneer Electronics to help design and manufacture their TCM Series of loudspeakers and speaker systems. TAD went on to win several awards throughout the following years.

In 1995 Woodworx designed a new system of enclosures to sell to The Pro Contractor Market. These systems were named WaveSeries This line has become one of our best selling systems.

Moving into the new millennium Woodworx Audio Products, Inc. made a major marketing move. It decided to make a name change to more represent the ever-changing audio market. The new name will lead us toward a more Full Product Line introducing new products to include powered speakers, electronics and many other audio devices.

Our new name is WorxAudio Technologies, Inc.

With a strong repeat customer base and a commitment to its clients’ success. WorxAudio continues to expand its customer service with in-house quality control measures, specialized staffing, designers, and equipment updates with emphasis on teamwork. Our focus on efficiency while leaving room for creativity and development has created trustworthy relationships with our customers.

Artesanía de Blues Box manufactures, intalls, distributes and sells equipment for sound reinforcement, of the highest available quality, branded by both Blues Box and W&dB.
Artesanía selects the very best wood and components from the best manufactures such as: Fane, Beyma, B&C, Volt, RCF, JBL o McCauley.
The equipment manufactured holds a high degree of quality construction and attention to small details.

When in the Autumn of 2000 Sergio Castro contacted Alejandro Díaz, looking for a cabinet maker to build a new pair of Reflexion Arts Monitors (designed by acoustician Philip Newell), a new cicle of collaborations between both companies started and soon led to the birth of a new company: Artesanía de BluesBox S.L.

W&dB had been dedicated for several years to the design and manufacture of loudspeaker boxes for installation and small PA. Reflexion Arts commemorates in 2004, 20 years of an intense carreer of investigation and development on studio monitor systems, whilst building at the same time some of the best European studios.

In 2001, W&dB attended the Madrid Broadcast show, invited to the Reflexion Arts booth and in 2003, both companies attended together with a much larger stand.

From then on, it seemed that creating the new company was the logical step forward: Artesanía de BluesBox. One of the first products introduced by the new BluesBox brand was the BB412, a guitar speaker box, of conventional layout, but with highly impressive specifications. So impressive that blues guitarist Javier Vargas considered it "The Rolls Royces of guitar speakers".
