Herve Chiquet, drummer: His professional career begins very soon in his birthplace “Blois” (North of France) where he sets up many funk, rock and jazz bands. Yet, the opening of all the music predominates in his artistic process. His teaching course starts in 1980 by the general study of drums and classical percussions, guided by Carol Leroy at the Blois conservatoire.
In 1987, he approaches the jazz, from the Ario to the big band, at the CIM in Paris with Guy Hayat, Jean Michel Davis or Jean Pierre Aupert. A training period with Billy Hart completes his knowledge. Finally, 3 years of studies at the Agostini School in Toulouse directed by Daniel Dumoulin bring him another instrumental experience. The live music stays his sparehead and during his course in Paris, he accompanies the French Rock band « CAPALDI » with Sébastien Chouard, plays with the Panam Jazz Quintet too, with Patrick Bocquel and works especially for afro-west indian formations as « SILENCE » directed by Christian Combette or also « CHOUKAS » foundated by Joby Garnier.
He moves to Toulouse in 1994 and comes looking for a different inspiration as he begins his metal drummer career in the trio “Jack in the box”. At the same time he integrates the « CADILLAC BAND » of José Haro, big ban Jazz-Salsa during two years then go back on the roads with “Jack In The Box” ...

His jazz roots were strongly influenced by his studies with the great Ed Blackwell in high school, while in college he studied classical percussion with Fred Hinger at the Yale School of Music.
Upon moving to New York, Robby began recording with Dave Valentin and Ruben Blades, who was the first salsa singer to add a full-time drummer to his band, Seis del Solar. Mike Orris, Jr. was born on July 16th, 1985 in Reno, Nevada. His early childhood was filled with inspiration from his Father who would practice in front of him on an old Ludwig drum set. His aspirations grew more and more for the instrument and by the time when he was forced to live with his Aunt and Uncle when he was a young child, the drums came right along with him. At the age of nine he had the drums set up in a converted garage in the back of his parent's house. With no schooling and a natural feel for music Mike progressed rather quickly and was playing with an extreme metal band by the time he was ten years old.
As well as his love for drumming Mike found an interest in playing the guitar and the bass and quickly came to understand the instruments and began writing music. His first performance with an original band was when he was thirteen years old and since then he has been performing, recording, and achieving his goals. At the age of thirteen Mike began to practice on a regimented schedule and learned the fundamentals that he skipped over in the previous years which included diversifying his capabilities and styles, learning rudiments, listening to great drummers and musicians, etc. He states that his knowledge and skill of other instruments has definitely helped his playing in all aspects because he can feel, sense, and understand where the other musicians are coming from within a musical situation. He believes that it makes his playing flow more easily and more freely when playing with others ...
