jean marie fouilleul guitars
jean marie fouilleul guitars
Description
Jean-Marie Fouilleul guitar maker, luthier.
To make my performance guitar models, I 'm convinced that this overview research, from old intruments (vihuella, romantic guitar) to contemporary guitars, bring up a great richness , enabling a much finer analysis on sounds origin; an approach from global to subtle.

A guitar is like a language, built with words, and grammar etc. and a language has to be precise as well as rich to be able to give a poetry or philosophical character to ideas, as well as just to chat ! Each one has to learn the language, but the vocabulary and the structures must be at first available.
Therefore, I always aim to make sensitive and coherent instruments and I think that the starting point is the richness of tone, the dynamics and the balance.
My guitars are played currently
in Europe (France, Germany, Swiss, Belgium),
in Asia (Japan, China, South Corea, Honk-Kong, Singapour)
and in America (US, Argentina).

Welcome to Worland Guitars. I hand build acoustic guitars to custom specifications for musicians and living-room players who are looking for a unique instrument at a reasonable price.

I have several different models from which to choose, each of which can be built from the woods of your choice and personalized with a variety of options. Whether you desire a particular sound, custom inlays, or a completely unique instrument, I encourage you to specify exactly the guitar you want or let me guide you to it.

Worland guitars are available directly from my workshop. You talk to me and I build your guitar ...

Rudolfo Cucculelli: I started studying luthery with my friend Carlos María Odriozola in 1976. My first instruments were copied or influenced from his professor's ones, Joaquín García Fernández, who has already come from Spain.
Around 1976, I was working with my father (making furnitures in his carpentry): after working all day with furniture, I used to make my first steps in making guitars.
The first thing Odriozola and I did was a drawing of one of the Joaquin's models, which were two basically: the big one and the small one. He drew with me in a big paper the silhouette of the big one and the small one, but the sizes were so different that we decided to make an average between both drawings. The result was this model, which is 49,5cm: see the draw.
I spend many years making this model with it's fan and bottom like the ones Joaquín García used to make.
Around 1980 I asked Vitali Import. Co. for a plan Domingo Esteso (classic) that I made with these materials: bottom and rips in Jacarandá Boliviano, cover in Spruce, handle in Cedro, and diapason in Incienso Paraguayo. This instrument was excellent.
Then, I made this guitar again in Caoba Africana, and Algarrobo, with similar results.
In this year (more or less) I met the flamenc guitar player Miguel Coelho, who used to talk about guitars and art in my home.
Miguel introduced me to Ricardo Gombock and Alcides, both of them from Martínez; and then (through this people) I met Roque Guagliardi, who used to talk about guitars with me ...

Jon A. Piquet, Instrumentenbau. Guitars, Mandolins, Bouzoukis ...
In meinem Atelier in Sent stelle ich Zupfinstrumente in handwerklicher Art her.
Also wieder vorbeikommen!

I will show you some of my instruments I made for my customers. I hope you like them!

Working as a luthier was always a dream and still is very fullfilling! My first contact to luthiers work was in my uncles violinmaker altelier.
After school I studied pipeorgan-maker. After some years in this interesting profession I changed to guitarmaking.
It has always been my goal to become a guitarmaker, but sometimes the best (or possible)way is not the straight one.. in 1988 I got the chance to work for the famous Irish luthier George Lowden. In his workshop I got the professional finish as a luthier. My personal "master" was the japanese Mitsuhiro Uchida, then working for George.
After this time in Irland I worked for paradise guitars in Switzerland. There I build the allready legendary "AVALON" guitar.
Now I'm very happy to have my own workshop and more and more satisfied customers.
