Arnie Gamble Guitars:
Our handcrafted acoustic guitars bring together fine woods and careful craftsmanship to create a musical instrument. I hope to inspire, educate and motivate you to fulfill your hopes and dreams about the guitar and its music.
Arnie began building guitars in 1978, starting with five-string vihuelas and parlor size steel strings. His wife, Erin O’Toole, also began to design and inlay guitars. Today their diverse talents come together in the musical instruments they build. After twenty plus years of building everything from lutes to harps to resonator guitars, they continue to explore the possibilities of acoustic instruments.
Arnie is an active member of the Luthier’s Guild. String Letter Publishing features his ten-string guitar in the recent book “Custom Guitars”. Well known for his restoration and repair skills, he has been an authorized repairman for Martin, Taylor, Fender and Guild guitars for many years ...
Arnie is sympathetic to the particular needs of individual players and their music. His guitars have satisfied many players both in the classical and steel string world.
Edward Victor Dick Classical Guitars: Edward builds approximately 10 classical guitars per year. While most of his work is commissioned and custom built, he always has a few instruments available for demonstration and sale.
He utilizes a lattice brace design for maximum volume and balance or Hauser style bracing for a sweeter more traditional sound.
Congratulations! You have come to that place in your musical life where it is time for a beautiful lifetime quality instrument. Don Grosh Custom Guitars was created with you in mind!
Don Grosh Custom Guitars was established in 1993 with the singular goal of producing the world's finest custom electric guitars and basses. We achieve this goal by paying careful attention to all aspects of each instrument we build. By utilizing a "Bench Style" building process, as opposed to a production line, we ensure that each and every instrument produced is up to our exacting standards. Our team of highly experienced builders constructs each instrument as a complete cohesive creation.
Electric instruments by their nature have acoustic qualities. After all, what do the pickups pickup? The sound that the instrument produces acoustically! Don Grosh Custom Guitars uses nothing but the finest tone woods available. These precious woods are then seasoned until they are ready to produce tone magic. The materials are then hand selected and "Tap Matched" for each individual instrument to ensure a harmonically rich, dynamic and acoustically alive result. All guitars and basses are hand finished in Nitro Cellulose Lacquer for a deep rich look and to allow for maximum resonance with minimum finish build up.
Don Grosh Custom Guitars utilizes state of the art building techniques, combined with superb attention to detail, to produce these instruments. Our exclusive neck and fretting processes deliver perfect intonation, stunning playability and a neck that feels broken in and friendly. You will not find a finer playing instrument!
All hardware and electronics offered are carefully selected to maintain and enhance the tonal foundation of our instruments. We have worked carefully with the finest pickup builders for the pickups used in our guitars ...
J. R. Zeidler Guitars:
For me, building a great instrument requires more than the application of my knowledge and skills to the materials that I begin with. It is an evolving process where I must blend the best elements of contemporary design, function and traditional craftsmanship. Each time I build an instrument, there are new challenges that come from the specific design and materials that I am using. These modify the routine processes of guitar making and change craftsmanship into the art of building a fine, unique instrument.
There are many elusive characteristics that define a fine instrument. I strive for rich quality, evenness and flexibility of tone, tonal reserve, superior projection and ample volume.
In addition, my instruments must be uncompromising in their structure, details and finish. They must satisfy their owners by being beautiful objects and beautiful performers.
