Anthony Liberto, professional drummer.
Led Zeppelin is what got me interested in playing. Bonham’s big drum sound & great parts that fit every song, along with John Paul Jones laying down awesome bass lines is what it’s all about.

I took piano lessons in grade school. My father decided to get me a piano. One day he came home and saw me beating the shit out of the keys. He ran and told my mom: This son of a bitch don’t want to play the piano, he wants to play the drums. So out went the piano and in came the drum kit.

I like to listen to the classic bands like Yes, Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, Rush, Bad Company, the Ramones, and the Sex Pistols, 80’s hair bands, 60’s garage stuff and fusion music.

Some of the modern bands I listen to are: Puddle of Mudd, Hoobastank, Fuel, Disturbed, No Doubt & Incubus, Velvet Revolver, and Linkin Park .

I listen to Howard Stern in the morning. He is just out of his mind. If you listen to him and don’t laugh, you have no sense of humor and take yourself too serious. I do watch some TV shows, but not many. The shows I do watch are: Columbo, Seinfeld, The 3 Stooges, and The Munsters. I also like to watch the Spanish stations which are Telemundo & Univision. I don’t understand a word of what they are saying, but they have the hottest looking babes on their TV shows. You can also see good fist fights on their version of the Jerry Springer & Judge Judy type shows ...

Drummer Robby Ameens website features sound bites, discography, itinerary, reviews, equipment set-up, biography, photo gallery, etc.
In the time that Robby Ameen has spent living in New York City since the early eighties he has compiled a recording career stretching from Dizzy Gillespie to Paul Simon, while maintaining a more than fifteen year relationship with Latin luminaries Ruben Blades and Dave Valentin. Although he is of Lebanese origin, Robby is best known for the unique and powerful Afro-Cuban style he has created.

Growing up in New Haven, Connecticut, Robby was able to take advantage of his proximity to New York City by going to clubs and hearing many of the great jazz masters at a very young age. At the same time, he was involved in the local jazz and latin scene, as well as later attending Yale University, where he received a BA in literature. His jazz roots were strongly influenced by his studies with the great Ed Blackwell in high school, while in college he studied classical percussion with Fred Hinger at the Yale School of Music.

Upon moving to New York, Robby began recording with Dave Valentin and Ruben Blades, who was the first salsa singer to add a full-time drummer to his band, Seis del Solar. Another one of his early recordings was New Faces with Dizzy Gillespie, about whom Dizzy said in Jazz Times "Just the other day I made a record with a Lebanese drummer – b-a-a-d! He had so much happening, and it keeps going, you know?" ...

As anybody who knows me personally would tell you, I am the walking definition of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder..... I always have been and probably always will be...

This curse for me means that when I "get into" something, I can't just casually enjoy it.... I become obsessed with every aspect of it.... If I discover a band that I like, I must go out and get their entire catalog. If I see a film I like, I must go out and see every film that the director has made...and even worse, collect the director's entire body of work for my video, laser & DVD library...

This behavior has not only driven my wife Marlene crazy, but has forced us into building a huge library/ "Dream Theater museum" seperately from the rest of my house so nobody gets hurt! : )

As anybody who has interviewed me would tell you, I would rather spend my time discussing & promoting other bands or films than talking about myself or Dream Theater....(How DT or my record company continue to let me be the band's main spokesman is still beyond me!!!) : )

What this part of my web-site provides is a real look into my biggest interests:
Film, Boxing and of course, Music....(and a few other things for good measure)

Some of you may read through these lists and say "you know, I could care less about this crap!"....but that's OK with me; because of my OCD, I had fun compiling these lists....even if only for myself! ...

Peter Erskine began playing the drums at the age of four, and has now been at the forefront of world-class jazz ensembles for thirty years. His first major professional work was with the Stan Kenton Orchestra, which he joined in 1972. After a three year stint with Kenton and a two year stay with Maynard Ferguson, he joined Weather Report in 1978. The excellence of the partnership between Erskine and bassist Jaco Pastorius was an integral part of that group's success.

Following his 4 years in Weather Report (having recorded five albums with them including the Grammy Award winning "8:30"), he began to play with Mike Brecker, Mike Mainieri, Don Grolnick and Eddie Gomez in the group Steps Ahead . His other touring and recording credits (400 albums) include Steely Dan, Diana Krall, Chick Corea, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Gary Burton & Pat Metheny, Joni Mitchell, Kurt Elling, Sadao Watanabe, Eliane Elias, Mike Stern, Miroslav Vitous and Jan Garbarek; the BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic New Music Ensemble, Ensemble Modern, the ASKO, Avanti & Absolute Ensembles; "Bass Desires " (with John Scofield, Bill Frisell, and Marc Johnson), the John Abercrombie Trio, the Kenny Wheeler Quintet & Big Band , the Bob Mintzer Big Band , the Yellowjackets as well as his own groups, including Trios with John Taylor, Palle Danielsson, Rita Marcotulli, and his current band with Alan Pasqua and Dave Carpenter ...

Luc Bergeron is a Westbrook, Maine-based drummer.

Luc Bergeron, originally from Lewiston, Maine, comes from a family of musicians and singers on both his mother's and father's sides, but is the only one in the family who had any interest in drumming. After much begging and pleading he was finally given a used drum set when he turned 12. His first formal lessons were with regionally well-known drummer and teacher Dick Demers.
Luc was a founding member of the rock band "Symmetry" while still in high school, which in 1986 recorded a demo that snagged national management (Fred Lewis - ex-mgr for "The Cars"), received radio airplay in Maine and Massachusetts, and generated major record label interest. The band played extensively through New England. After he left Symmetry in 1988, he spent a while wondering what he was going to do with his life, and decided to attend the University of Southern Maine as an English major during the fall semester of 1989. When he saw master drummer Steve Smith (Journey, Vital Information, sessions artist) in the spring of 1990 at a concert at the University of Maine in Augusta, it moved him to get serious about music, and so attended UMA's nationally known Jazz and Contemporary Music program ...
