Ibrahim Kirli Guitars: Guitar making is not just to stick the wood pieces together, there are a lot of factors, sometime paradoxal, to be considered. You must find a good
balance between the volume, clarity, bass-treble balance and tone
seperation etc.
altough a guitar sounds the same tone, there would be different comments from each individual listener or players. So one luthier’s mission must be finding an optimum and acceptable blend of all these factors. Although, I still study classical guitar, my overwhelming passion is the building of high quality classical guitars and as "Ashik" Veysel said : "I'm on a long and narrow path" for this aim.

I have arrived at my current state from two directions; as a listener/player and as a craftsman.
I remember as an early teenager being surprised by the sound of a classical guitar playing music that caught me completely off guard. I actually stopped and listened transfixed (for a teenager, that's something!) And I remember this moment 40 years later as clearly as if it were yesterday. The music was the Recuerdos and the guitarist was Segovia. To this day, it still remains my favorite music in spite of the fact that it has been recorded by every man woman and child with a guitar since. Years later with a young family I managed to acquire my first guitar, a Goya and heading bravely into the sixties, confronting the Kingston Trio and folk music head on. During the 70's and 80's I was struck by a Bluegrass disease and didn't recover until the late 80's when I rediscovered the classical guitar ...

An Artisan Deluxe is a carved top "semi-custom" guitar. Specifications such as neck shape, fingerboard radius, and pickup configuration can be customized to suit. However, wood selection is limited and the fretboard inlays are Firesuns only. Full paua purfling is standard along with inlaid logo and inlaid truss rod cover. The standard components, such as knobs, pickup covers, and toggle tips are plastic as found on most guitars.
An Artisan Master is a full blown custom guitar. The wood choices are practically endless. Most of the plastic parts are replaced with wood, such as knobs, toggle tips, back plates and tuner buttons.
