Wave:Space, Inc. was founded to implement the practical application of acoustic technology for the entertainment production industry. From this foundation, Wave:Space has expanded into a comprehensive design-build firm, encompassing all aspects of design, engineering and construction. Thorough planning and design are important to every project, but even more so to a facility in which proper acoustics and the integration of technical equipment are involved. The Wave:Space Active Control Room Monitor Systems are the latest in an evolutionary series of control room monitors. Now featuring a high frequency ribbon driver capable of producing extremely high sound pressure levels, the system is ideally suited to the critical listening environment.

The unique high frequency driver utilizes a flat, rectangular diaphragm where the driving force is an integrated part of the sound radiating surface, resulting in an extremely low mass. The natural advantage is not only a flat frequency response to beyond 30 kHz but also superior transient performance and several orders of magnitude less distortion than the more familiar compression driver and horn combination which it replaces.

The low frequency drivers are equally innovative, employing a multi-magnet cluster to reduce distortion and improve cooling. Both single and dual woofer systems are available.

The complete system also includes appropriate power amplifiers, 4th order Bessell active crossovers, and 1/3 octave equalizers. The standard cabinets are finished in black lacquer. Custom sizes and wood veneers are available.




passive series: The Wave:Space Passive Control Room Monitor Systems are identical to the biamped series with one exception. The passive series utilizes an extremely high quality passive crossover system in place of the 4th order Bessell active crossover.

MRC Audio: Nowadays we must face with problems generated by noise from leisure places which reproduce music. In order to avoid the annoyances caused by an excessive sound pressure level, the best solution is to carry out a good sound insulation, although this is not always possible due to economic or structural considerations. In any case, the complementary solution is the control of the musical power emitted by the amplifying equipment, fitting it to an inferior level at which it generates annoyance and it infringes the Municipal Rules.

Our company, from 1991 is manufacturing audio equipments for this purpose.With our products we tried to cover the necessity of limiting the sound level without degradating the sonic quality. Thus, much care has been taken in designing the level controller to provide quality even with great levels of attenuation.

"Back in 1994, I founded FAR (Fundamental Acoustic Research) on an idealistic belief, or so it seemed at the time. I firmly believed that the best speaker was only as good as the environment it was played in. Today, I still hold that same belief.
Therefore, my team and I have always endeavoured to give the listener that magical feeling, by developing a perfect combination between speaker and acoustics. As an addict of that feeling myself, I know how important it is to catch the listeners perception in a few milliseconds or lose it for good.
As time went by, I also noticed that, although people listen differently all over the world, the one unifying factor was the hunger for the newest technology. With this in mind, we have always priced ourselves on keeping ahead in every field of development, successfully incorporating new technologies from active speakers through to digital.
