Although Acoustic Image is a relatively young company, it is owned and operated by people with decades of experience in the professional music and sound industry. Like our customers, we are musicians and engineers who insist upon superior sound quality and reliable performance from our audio equipment.
Acoustic Image was founded because over the years we were never quite satisfied with the products available for the working musician. If you play guitar or bass, violin, keyboard, a woodwind or even a brass instrument, or you are a vocalist, we've got a sound reinforcement product designed with you in mind.
Great product designs go far beyond having the right knobs in the right places. Our company charter is to design and build unique, innovative, and functional audio products... there is nothing "me too" about what we do. In essence, we have merged advanced acoustic design and switching amplifier technology to create incredibly compact, ultra-lightweight products offering highly accurate sound for serious musicians.
Ultimately, our pledge to you is for quality... to build a well-constructed reliable audio product that serves you well night after night, year after year. And, quite frankly, we believe the best way to do that is to design and manufacture each and every Acoustic Image product in the U.S.A.

The Kingsley circuits are pure valve(tube) and complicated electronics are kept out to prevent any loss of pure tone. They are based on the classic guitar amplifier circuits that we know so well and have been enjoying since the early days of rock'n'roll, but they are carefully tweaked for the ultimate in response and tone. In addition they incorporate the kind of useful features that todays guitar players require, both for recording and live performance.
The Kingsley amps are designed to produce a rich warm sound with lots of sustain without getting overly distorted. This results in a touch sensitivity enabling clean sounds with soft picking, and long singing sustain with harder picking. This is achieved by allowing both the pre-amp and power amplifier sections to work together to produce the resultant tone rather than the pre-amp stage alone.
Each model in the Kingsley line, while being very versatile, does not claim to be everything to everyone. It is our point of view that no one amplifier can do it all, just as no one guitar can do it all. Therefore, rather than build overly complicated, multiple channel amplifiers which try to cater to many or all styles, we build amplifiers that do one or two things very well ...
