Description
Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Lino graduated college with two degrees (History and Pre-Med.) from Miami University of Ohio. But Lino's calling has always been to compose and perform music, so after college he moved to Los Angeles to do what he loves most.

Lino began studying guitar at the age of nine with classical master, George Bachmann. During his high school years, he was naturally drawn to rock music, although it never diverted him from his interest in classical. “I was very lucky to have been instructed in classical music before I ventured into the rock realm,” Lino explains. "It made me a well-rounded musician and gave me a lot to draw from as a composer later on. I learned to appreciate all styles of music, instead of just focusing on one particular genre.” This is evident in Lino's incredibly unique and versatile layering of guitars in combination with other instruments and his bold blending of musical styles. And it's what makes his music so distinct.

“This style of music is very personal and exciting for me because it is the most honest music I have ever recorded. I don't try to accommodate the latest trends in a particular musical style or write music that would comfortably fit into a particular existing format,” Lino explains ...

Buck Dharma, lead guitarist for Blue Oyster Cult. New music, guitar playing tips, photo gallery, fun interactive activities, live chats and other fun stuff.
A twist of fate, or more accurately, a twist of the wrist, turned Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser into a guitar player.
Surrounded by music growing up, Roeser spent his formative years listening to his father, an accomplished jazz saxophonist, and naturally gravitated toward the melodic arts as the years progressed. As a child, Roeser briefly toyed with the accordion, but when the British Invasion made a loud landing on US shores, he finally discovered his true calling: Rock & Roll. Buck's first love wasn't the guitar however. He began his journey to rock legend as a drummer.

But as it happened, fate intervened early, when the young Roeser fractured his left wrist on the basketball court. Unable to quell his musical energies, he began fiddling around with the guitar during his recovery. Slowly, the realization dawned that he enjoyed plucking a guitar just as much as banging skins, and the rest is rock history ...

Paul Nelson was influenced early on by such guitar players as Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Schenker and Billy Gibbons as well as fusion players Allan Holdsworth, Larry Carlton, Tommy Bolin and blues great Albert King. An exceptional guitarist, producer, arranger and songwriter, Paul is equally at home with rock, funk, blues, jazz, and pop and just about anything else that crosses his path! While attending Berklee College of Music, he became one of Steve Vai's first guitar students soon after he joined the band Liege Lord who then signed with Metal Blade Records. Paul co wrote and performed on the band's two most popular classic power metal albums. These releases were "Burn to My Touch" produced by Joe Buchard of Blue Oyster Cult and "Master Control" produced by the great Terry Date, known for his work with Nirvana, Sound Garden, Def-Tones, Pantera. Also released was Metal Blade's Vol. 3 compilation album distributed by Enigma / Capitol. These releases led to Paul being featured in magazines that "I could only have dreamed of seeing myself in when I first started out as an aspiring guitar player." He has since appeared in literally hundreds of magazines and on radio stations world wide, some of the most notable being Billboard, BBC, TCG, Circus, Guitar One, Kerrang, Rock Hard, Total Rock, About.com and Scream and fanzines, too many to count, along with appearing in 5 music documentary books ...
