Lisa Baker:
Shredding the 'blonde from California' stereotype, Lisa baker smartens up the image of the female guitar player.
Currently supporting the release of her jazz CD, Song for a New Day, Lisa separates herself from the current crop of female singer-songwriters by taking on multiple roles, including those of producer, engineer and songwriter. But most impressive is her role as guitarist. Her ability to improvise alongside such respected musicians as Oteil Burbridge, Derico Watson, and Regi Wooten puts her in a category all on her own.
Born and raised in southern California, Lisa studied piano under the wing of her jazz pianist mother. She expanded her musical horizons by studying violin, upright bass, oboe, and voice. When Lisa was 12, her family moved to Seattle, Washington. "I stole my mother's acoustic guitar when i was a senior in high school," Lisa confeses. "She just never saw it again." Lisa strummed folk songs and church music on the instrument. The guitar's easy mobility and flexibility made it her instrument of choice.
Robben Ford: In the 1960s, long before pop artists were backed by the generic, computer-based accompaniment that is commonplace today, singers often recorded with formidable house bands, including Booker T. & the MG’s and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. The former band came together at Stax records in Memphis, laying down timeless grooves on hits by artists like Otis Redding, Albert King, and Carla Thomas. The latter group—based in Muscle Shoals, as well as New York and Nashville—enhanced such classic tracks as Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” Wilson Pickett’s “Mustang Sally,” and Paul Simon’s “Kodachrome.” ...
Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Lino graduated college with two degrees (History and Pre-Med.) from Miami University of Ohio. But Lino's calling has always been to compose and perform music, so after college he moved to Los Angeles to do what he loves most.
Lino began studying guitar at the age of nine with classical master, George Bachmann. During his high school years, he was naturally drawn to rock music, although it never diverted him from his interest in classical. “I was very lucky to have been instructed in classical music before I ventured into the rock realm,” Lino explains. "It made me a well-rounded musician and gave me a lot to draw from as a composer later on. I learned to appreciate all styles of music, instead of just focusing on one particular genre.” This is evident in Lino's incredibly unique and versatile layering of guitars in combination with other instruments and his bold blending of musical styles. And it's what makes his music so distinct.
“This style of music is very personal and exciting for me because it is the most honest music I have ever recorded. I don't try to accommodate the latest trends in a particular musical style or write music that would comfortably fit into a particular existing format,” Lino explains ...

Neil Zappa:
With fiery technical brilliance and breathtaking musical interpretation, Neil Zaza has defined himself as the instrumental guitarist with an unparalleled ability to combine solid, catchy songwriting with a keen melodic sense and technical fury.

Neil’s latest CD, “Melodica” once again showcases his ability to meld his technical guitar mastery within his melodic compositions. Neil further pushes the sonic boundaries with “Melodica” by incorporating samples and loops with his trademark guitar playing.
Zaza's CD "Staring at the Sun" finds Neil in great company with Steve Smith and Ross Valory (Journey), Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani), Michael Lee Firkins, as well as fellow Peavey endorsee, drummer Robin DiMaggio.
