Michael Hawkeye Herman:
With over 40 years of performing experience, Michael "Hawkeye" Herman exemplifies the range of possibilities in acoustic blues, and personifies versatile musicianship, originality, and compelling artistry as a blues storyteller. His dynamic performances have won him a faithful following, and he leads a very active touring schedule of performances at festivals, concerts, school programs, and workshops. Hawkeye performs a wide variety of traditional blues, ballads, swing, and original tunes, on six-string and twelve-string guitar, and is an adept and exciting practitioner of slide guitar and slide mandolin. His music has been included in video documentaries and in three hit theatrical productions, and his solo CD, Blues Alive!, released in 1998, was greeted by rave reviews and greatly increased the demand for his live performances at major blues and folk festivals. Remi Boucher: classical guitar:
Classical Guitarist Rémi Boucher was born in 1964 in Rouyn-Noranda (Québec Canada). He studied the classical guitar at the Montreal Conservatory with Jean Vallières and afterwards completed his studies in Spain (with J. Henriquez, J. L. Rodrigo, V. Mikulka, David Russell, M. Barrueco), in Belgium at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with (V. van Puijenbroeck) and in Switzerland at the Basel Academy with O. Ghiglia. He is now living in Austria. Those travels would not have been accomplished without the aid of the "Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec" and the Canada Council, which not only offered him many grants, but the Sylva Gelber Award, making Rémi Boucher the first guitarist in 30 years to win this honor! In addition to his many national and international prizes, in less than 18 months, Rémi Boucher has conquered Europe, America and Asia winning at the unanimously

the first prize in five of the most important international music competitions. (Alessandria in Italy, Andrès Segovia in Palma de Mallorca in Spain, Havana in Cuba, Mauro Guiliani in Turin, and Fernando Sor in Roma).

With such success, he was invited by many major symphonic orchestras giving him the opportunity to perform up to ten of the greatest guitar concertos and having the privilege to play under the direction of Leo Brouwer, the famous Cuban composer.

His love and relationship with other cultures, and his interest in all kinds of instruments, helped him to discover new technical possibilities which allow him to enlarge the capabilities of the instrument. A pioneer in that domain, he collaborates closely with composers to create a repertory that serves these new musical possibilities. To study those techniques Rémi Boucher has also created a series of his own compositions and a new technical method. His most recent success was the result of seven years collaboration with his favorite composer and pianist Canadian Jacques Marchand ...

Ric Hordinski:
Years before Radiohead put Sigur Rós on the map, Ric (pronounced "Rich") Hordinski was painting soundscapes on Over the Rhine records. His instrumental interludes and echo-laden guitar gave the band a rich, layered sound, and may have kept the band from falling headlong into the mid-tempo singer-songwriter abyss.

Since leaving OTR, Ric has appeared on records with David Wilcox, Tony Levin, Bill Kreutzmann, Victor Wooten, Victoria Williams and Robbie Fulks. He's produced award-winning records for a host of folks including Wilcox and Phil Keaggy.

On his own, hiding behind the Monk moniker, he released five independent records that featured alternately the songwriting craft he honed during his eight years in OTR, the ambient guitar that garnered demand as a studio musician and the ear for songcraft that makes him an excellent producer. Ric recieved a grammy nomination in 2003, two cammy awards and a dove award in 2002.

Clive Carroll: guitar, guitarist, fingerstyle, british, uk.
Clive Carroll was born in Chelmsford, England in 1975 and has been immersed in a diverse range of music ever since. Clive’s father made him his first banjo in 1977 and a few years later he began to learn Bluegrass and Irish music. During his pre-teens Clive played banjo in the family band and by the age of eleven he had picked up the guitar. Throughout his teenage years, he also played at local venues in rock bands, funk & soul bands, a country group and several orchestras.
In 1998, he gained a 1st Class Honours degree in Composition & Guitar from Trinity College, London. Throughout the college years Clive was also awarded many prizes including: John Halford Prize for Composition (1994), Gladys Puttick Memorial Prize for Extemporisation (‘94,’98), Ivor Mairants Guitar Award (1997), Montagu Cleeve Prize for Guitar (1998) and Essex Young Musician of the Year (1999).

Whilst at college, Clive was also awarded a concerto prize and recorded Rodrigo's 'Concierto de Aranjuez' with the Trinity orchestra.

In 1998, he was given the opportunity to play at his local pub with John Renbourn. That night Renbourn encouraged him to record a solo album, and finally in 1999 after playing a support to Chris Newman & Maire Ni Chathasaigh, Clive was given his first record deal by their Celtic label, ‘Old Bridge Music’. His first solo CD, Sixth Sense received an unusually high level of attention from radio shows, reviewers and journalists and has since been described as ‘a milestone in the journey of the steel-string guitar’. Over the next two years John Renbourn took Clive on tour all over Europe and America.

In 2002 the BMG/RCA record label took an interest in Clive. He recorded solo for them on one album, which is still selling very well.

Over the past two years Clive has toured as a solo performer and he has also played alongside many great artists in the traditional Irish, acoustic, and pop/rock worlds ...
