Description
Mutant Koto:
A plucked string synthesizer which uses two delay lines to model each of the string's two polarizations (horizontal and vertical). Cross coupling of the strings is implemented, and string velocities can also be saturated to give wind instrument-like timbres. A frequency-warped lattice filter can be added to the output stage or inserted into the coupling path between the first and second string polarizations. Only available as a Windows VSTi.

3. stringz
StringZ is a physically modeled String ensemble and Solo String synthesizer. At home providing moving and almost real string sounds, StringZ can also be used to provide the more esoteric ensemble and pad sounds as well. A full bank of 128 presets are provided as well as a short handbook in pdf form to help you to come to terms with its unconventional architecture. Seen as a natural partner to Richman2 this synth replaces Etiquet and EtEquet which have now both been moved into the Legacy page. Shoggoth:
an older 'plucked' string model with a more complex probability engine, with probabilities for passages to be less dense, played octaves higher or lower, et c. several random seeds are selected for 'riffing..' shoggoth will return to themes, occasionally seems eerily sentient. note that the triggered note relates to the tonic (although it's transposed by a few notes.. you'll have to figure it out..)

FTM String:
Das Plugin simuliert in erster Linie eine schwingende Saite die an einem bestimmten Punkt durch eine Art zupfen oder schlagen angeregt wird. Da das Modell dieser Saite allerdings so allgemein gehalten ist, ist es im Endeffekt möglich, jede Art von eindimensionalen schwingendem Körper mit Hilfe dieses Plugins nachzuahmen. Das umfaßt eine Vielzahl von Saiteninstrumenten, wie Gitarre, Bass und Cembalo, aber auch Schlaginstrumente wie Xylophon, Vibraphon und Glockenspiele. Die Art des simulierten Instrumentes wird dabei allein durch die physikalischen Parameter des Modells bestimmt, die sowohl stufenlos als auch im laufenden Betrieb geändert werden können. Die Stärke des Plugins, und der dahinterliegenden Funktional-Transformations-Methode (FTM), liegt also weniger in der exakten Reproduktion von realen Musikinstrumenten, sondern mehr in der Variabilität und Flexibilität des Synthesisers.
