Guitarist Norman K. Anderson's second CD, Victory And Valor, continues in the neo-classical tradition staked out by his debut release "Mirror, Mirror". Anderson gets the ball rolling with his variation on a Bach melody on the title track, and proceeds to offer classically flavored leads and progressions, as well as thematic, well-crafted guitar solos. Fans of instrumental guitar music will dig the almost nine minute opus "Dragonfire, the moving "Con Duolo Appassionato" and the heartfelt "My Angel". Canadian jazz guitarist Doc Dosco moved to Los Angeles from Canada in the late 1970s. Soon after he began playing gigs and doing studio work. With long time friend and producer Esmond Edwards, (George Benson, Kenny Burrell, B.B. King) Doc has played on recordings with jazz greats such as Blue Mitchell, Eddie Harris, Gene Harris, Red Halloway, Cedar Walton, Harold Land, Paulinho Da Costa and he has shared the stage with many others. He has had his jazz tunes recorded by Blue Mitchell, Eddie Harris and Herman Riley.
"I did tons of 'guitar for hire' studio dates back then", says Doc, "and I gigged a lot during the late seventies and eighties. I was a funky fusion style player and there was lots of funk style work. I also did pick-up work, casuals, society gigs and played numerous concerts with old timers such as Little Anthony, the Drifters, the Diamonds, the Platters, Freddie Cannon and such. I also wrote songs for Jerry Lee Lewis and German pop phenom Nina Hagen, and recorded several albums with the revolutionary Motown recording artists Black Russian. Towards the late eighties, I started drifting away from guitar playing and into electronic music, record production and audio consultation. This in turn, led to some pretty bleak years as far as playing went" ...

Born in Havana, Cuba, in 1971, Mr. Tamayo began studying the guitar with his father when he was five. The Cuban government proclaimed him a child prodigy and he made his television debut at the young age of nine. He then went on to win many of the major youth competitions in Cuba and was selected to be the featured performer for the Fourth International Guitar Festival in Cuba when he was fourteen. Mr. Tamayo attended the Conservatory of Music in Havana and the Superior Institute of Art, where he studied with Antonio Alberto Rodriguez and the world-renowned composer for the guitar, Leo Brouwer. Sony Music Entertainment and Sony Classical of Mexico enabled Mr. Tamayo to come to the United States where he received a full scholarship for advanced studies ...

Jim Crye Dallas Fort Worth Guitarist: started playing guitar 17 years ago and have not stopped since. Ace Frehley is the reason I even started playing guitar. Joes Garage was a local metal club in the 80's where I used to go watch Pantera play everytime they had a gig there before they got signed. So Dimebag was a big direct influence on me. Bill Ham, whom I took lessons from, was the guitar player for Sonny and Cher and was also a big direct influence. The others that matter are, in no particular order: Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Jake E. Lee, Jerry Cantrell, Incubus, Sevendust.
