Northpole:
This free plug in equips your sequencing environment with a fully programmable resonant filter. In short, you can send any of your audio tracks through this 'virtual analog' device to either create special effects or to simulate the behaviour of an analog 4-pole filter. It has the following specifications
free vst plugin. pc, mac
Resonnant Filters Set :
- one input to sixteen outputs
- sixteen eight poles band-pass filters
- individual control of the frequency and the resonance
- grouped controls curves : ascending and descending, bell and random
- animation of the curves by four cyclic modulators
Breathe Beat is basically a bandpass filter that sweeps its cutoff frequency in a random cyclic pattern at a specified tempo. Filter Swamp is four separate bandpass filters which sweep at different rates. Both are useful for adding unpredictably swooshy noises to your compositions.

Comb bank: three bandpass filters and an lfo (2 turntables..) can be more than, less than, or equal to classic phasing effect. 2 bp filters (stereo)=up there on the cpu, since that high Q is just the sound.. imho the only vst phaser that comes close to the 'balls' of my old maestro pedal. sorry, but no like 'em. picky phaser.

This plugin allows the user to perform a warped LP analysis of the input signal for each of four independent filter banks, whereafter the user can warp between all four filters using the XY touchpad control or use the 'filter warp' slider to change the warping in the filtering stage. The results tend towards bellish sounds or weird sleeping sounds reminiscent of the EMU Morpheus' filters. Only available as a Windows VST.
