1. convolver
Convolver is a plugin for doing realtime convolution using impulse responses from the user's hard drive. Convolution is the process of combining two signals to produce a third signal, which reflects their co2mbined frequencies. For more information about the nature of convolution, check out the wikipedia entry on the subject, or for a more technical explanation, see the mathworld entry instead.
Convolution has a variety of uses, including filtering, room modelling, and amplifier modelling. The uses of this plugin are limited to whatever impulse responses you can provide it.
This plugin has a built-in file browser, gain adjustment, and can do high/low-pass filtering, which are applied to the impulse response directly before convolution.
Can read aiff, wav, and a number of other impulse response formats (see manual for supported formats)
Hi/Lowpass filtering applied directly to impulse response before convolution
Wet/Dry mix control
Gain adjustment to compensate for frequency boosts or cuts
Can save and load preset files for easy loading later
Convenient LCD panel displays information about currently loaded file.
