Ricky Davis is best known as the steel guitar player for Dale Watson, and as a rising star in his own right among steel guitar players. Ricky grew up listening to the music of Ray Price, Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Bob Wills, but had no real interest in becoming a musician until one day in the early 1980s when he heard Ricky Skaggs' "Cryin' my heart out over you" on the radio.
