OLSON SOUND DESIGN was organized in 1991. The consulting staff, led by principal consultant Bruce C. Olson, provides consultation in sound system design, combined audio & video production/presentation system design and technical systems design to support them. Bruce also provides training for EASE and advanced technical support for EASE users in the Western Hemisphere.
In its first decade the firm has completed or has underway projects in a half dozen states. The undertakings range from the renovation of the Guthrie Theatre to the design of a recording system for the Managed Care School at UHC — from the sound design in highly reverberant cathedrals such as at Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN., to the design of audio and video production facilities for 3M. We have been involved with numerous historical renovations, which like the sanctuaries for the First Baptist Church of Amarillo,TX, or the Air Force Academy Chapel, have meant integrating the technical systems into the architecture in a way that does not detract from the beauty of these spaces. In each case, careful attention to detail, respect for budgets and schedules, and an unswerving commitment to providing the very best and most informed technical advice are our standards.
The overwhelming majority of our current clients are people with whom we have worked before. We take inordinate care in maintaining contact with our clients, even long after the project is officially complete.
For all our projects our broad background and first-hand experience in the performing arts has allowed us to make flexible and creative contributions to the design team that are free of academic orthodoxy and wholly sympathetic to the practicalities of building design and the ongoing needs of performers and other users.

MLSSA by DRA Laboratories is the loudspeaker industry's standard measurement system. MLSSA is also used by automakers, recording studios, acousticians and government agencies to measure sound systems, room acoustics and speech intelligibility.
The MLSSA Remote Controlled Analog Interface (RCAI) is now available. The RCAI allows you to perform both frequency response and impedance measurements of loudspeakers without pausing to switch cables or change the MLSSA setup. Impedance and frequency response curves can be displayed and printed together on the same graph. Reference loopback measurements of even the highest powered amplifiers are performed automatically and safely. The RCAI also includes a four-input microphone multiplexer for automated spatially averaged room measurements. Up to four units can be daisy chained to expand the number of inputs and/or power amplifiers supported by a single MLSSA 2000 card.

Dieter Ennemoser, violin maker and acoustic researcher, developed a startling new theory of sound perception with applications on instruments, Hifi and loudspeakers.
This is the C37 Homepage. These pages explain the acoustic and technical properties of music and human hearing. The sensational possibilities of my discoveries are detailed on this page to spread and increase knowledge about tlhis subject.
Architectural and Acoustical Design and Consulting: FM Design Ltd.
Francis Manzella Design Ltd is a full service Architectural Acoustics, and Media Facility design firm based in Yorktown Heights, NY. We specialize in Architectural Acoustic Design and modeling of critical listening environments and performance spaces for the audio Recording, Post-Production, Broadcast and Entertainment industries.
We are immersed in the ‘process’ and are always investigating new techniques and solutions for the acoustic design challenges we face on each project. Incorporating the best from previous successes and stretching the envelope in aesthetic and acoustic conceptualization keeps the process stimulating and fresh. Personal service and a resolute desire to see projects through to completion are the principals upon which our service is based.
We are not into providing "cookie cutter" solutions and will not sell pre-existing designs to new customers. “I have yet to walk into a new project that had the exact same requirements or design challenges as a previous one. The individual attention given to each client and their needs, is what we pride ourselves on, and I believe this is what gives us an edge” states principal designer, Francis Manzella. This, along with over 20 years of actual in studio experience as engineers and technicians and musicians, is what separates Francis Manzella Design from many other acoustics and design firms.
Our Client List reflects the many aspects of acoustic design and consulting that we have been involved in. From large scale Multi-room Commercial Studio and Systems designs, to small private-use Production Studio consultations, FM Design strives to give each of it's customers the individual solutions that fit the budget, timeframe and design goals of the project ...
