Memphis Records: A recording studio in the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock. Offers a four room analog A suite. Based in Tennessee, USA.
Rock-It Science is the production company arm of Memphis records. Our primary goal is to work with bands and artists to prepare them for recording a professional demo CD for self-release or to use in pursuing a record label contract. From this perspective, our production services fall into two primary areas:
PRE-PRODUCTION SERVICE: Working directly with bands and/or artists to prepare them to record. This involves working on song composition and arrangements, vocal coaching, player coaching in studio techniques, constructive criticism and objective direction. Typically, sessions are held in our Digital Studio, so the band can track and listen to their work using direct input sources, pods and keyboards. This results in a very efficient use of time and allows for instant feedback and collaboration in developing new skills and material.
PRODUCTION CONTRACTS: Working with Producers and/or Managers on a very selective basis to record demos on a speculative basis, to be used to pursue a record label contract. The studio will provide recording and mixing services and staff time as part of a Production Contract, which provides for recoupment and participation in a record label deal.
