post-production studio design
post-production studio design
Description
Studio design, post-production studio design.
Small sound reproduction rooms pose particular problems in acoustic design. Go into a small untreated bare room and clap your hands, and you usually get a distorted sound. The sound direct from your hands is quickly followed by reflections from the walls, ceiling and floor ...

The Acoustical Society of America.
Since its organization in 1929, the Society has grown steadily in membership and stature. At this time nearly 7000 men and women who work in acoustics throughout the U.S. and abroad belong to this prestigious Society. A variety of fields related to sound are represented:

Physics,
Measurement Technologies and Instrumentation,
Nearly All Engineering Disciplines, including:
Electrical,
Mechanical,
Civil,
Aeronautica.l
Robotics and Computer Sciences,
Oceanography,
Underwater Propagation,
Biology,
Physiology,
Psychology,
Architecture (e.g., Concert Hall Design),
Speech and Hearing,
Music,
Noise and Noise Control,
Animal Bioacoustics,
Structural Acoustics and Vibration.
This diversity, along with the opportunities provided for the exchange of knowledge and points of view, has become one of the Society's unique and strongest assets. From the beginning, the Acoustical Society has sought to serve the widespread interests of its members and the acoustics community in all branches of acoustics, both theoretical and applied.

The Society is primarily a voluntary organization and attracts the interest, commitment, and service of a large number of professionals. Their contributions in the formation, guidance, administration, and development of the ASA are largely responsible for its world-wide preeminence in the field of acoustics ...

The founder of GUZ BOX design + audio
Tim Kuschel has more than 14 years experience documenting architectural projects.
After working in Sydney for 10 years, including 2 years at the Powerhouse Museum, Tim worked in Wollongong for 2 years before once again returning to Sydney to a project coordination role responsible for overseeing the documentation of multi-million dollar projects.
Tim has also had extensive experience in architectural acoustics and professional sound reinforcement design. A keen interest in music and architecture led to the forming of GUZ BOX design + audio in the early 1990s, providing sound reinforcement and musical services to many clients.
Following a growing interest in acoustic principles, Tim attended the University of Sydney to obtain further studies in acoustics, graduating in April 2000 with Masters in Design Science (Audio) from the faculty of Architecture and Design Science.
Tim's role as an acoustic consultant has led to many varied projects including cafes and restaurants, churches and school halls, auditoriums and lecture halls, environmental noise impact studies, building reports and many other projects.

Since its inception, GUZ BOX design + audio has been developed further to provide advancement in architectural acoustics and sound reinforcement design to architects, engineers and building designers, commercial and government, manufacturers and retailers, corporate and private clientele.

GUZ BOX design + audio in Canberra
A move to Canberra in early 2004 has allowed GUZ BOX design + audio to expand and provide a closer working relationship with clients in the ACT and southern NSW.

Tim Kuschel is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and is currently seeking application for membership with the Australian Acoustical Society.

Dieter Ennemoser, violin maker and acoustic researcher, developed a startling new theory of sound perception with applications on instruments, Hifi and loudspeakers.
This is the C37 Homepage. These pages explain the acoustic and technical properties of music and human hearing. The sensational possibilities of my discoveries are detailed on this page to spread and increase knowledge about tlhis subject.

Rives Audio: Firms that specialize in architectural acoustics usually concentrate on the big jobs—churches, schools, and auditoriums. Rives Audio is unusual in that they specialize in "small-room" acoustics, for residential listening rooms and home theaters. Rives is unusual in another way: they consult on a nationwide and even international basis ...
