Being composers in these industries ourselves, we know how we want things to sound and know what aspects are still missing in the sample world. The "ProjectSAM sound" is best described as deep and warm. Because we offer each library in multiple microphone sets, the samples fit into a mix easily. A second important aspect of ProjectSAM's philosophy is the focus on unique articulations and effects. In each of our libraries we include playing techniques, instrument combos and cinematic effects that you won't find anywhere else.

Turnkey has now been in business for almost thirty years, having started in 1978, and can rightly claim to be the birthplace of recording for musicians – not only was it the first store of its kind in the world, but Turnkey played an integral role in the development of the Portastudio™ which made multitrack recording affordable to the average musician for the first time, and ushered in the age of the home studio which we take for granted today.
In recent years, the company has continued in the spirit of the original owners by starting the Carillon company which made the world’s first true audio PC and still leads the way in making audio computing headache free.
