Description
Prosoniq Products is a German software company researching and developing new techniques for audio editing and digital signal processing. Over the past 18 years we have developed new methods and algorithms that allow new and previously unthinkable signal manipulations giving you enhanced access to all specific features of a particular audio recording on your computer.

Based on the technology of Neural Network processing employed for sound evaluation and processing, traditional analysis methods like the FFT or related transforms including all the negative side effects become almost obsolete in our software. Prosoniq’s unique Multiple Component Feature Extraction provides relatively unlimited access to distinct spectral properties as well as to the phase relation and exact frequency of harmonics, formants and temporal sound developments.

RE-INVENTION OF THE CLASSICS, IN A CLASSIC
Bass Station re-invents the classic sound of analogue and provides you with all the prerequisite building blocks of the sound generation process, with total control.


Two oscillators that have been carefully modelled to preserve the precise tonal character of the classic sawtooth and square waveforms of the original instruments.

Low-pass filtering with all the warmth and resonance often lacking in today’s modern digital synthesis methods
Intuitive ADSR envelopes - no need to calculate the complex interaction of endless rate and level parameters
Low Frequency Oscillation which can directly control the harmonic content of the sound by pulse width modulation or filter cut-off
Oscillator Sync for the most complex and expressive timbres, and most importantly of all, an individual knob or switch for each parameter to allow you to control it manually as you play or program


ANALOGUE MODELLED OSCILLATORS AND THAT SPECIAL BASS STATION SOUND
The character of the two oscillators has been carefully crafted to provide the classic sawtooth and square waveforms of the original instruments. The filter has been designed to deliver the elusive character from of the original Bass Station. Switch from 24dB to 12dB mode and the filter controls behave in the same manner as the controls of Roland’s classic TB303.

ENHANCED CLASSIC PANEL FOR GREATER TWEAKABILITY
The simplicity of the original Bass Station panel was a key factor in the popularity of the instrument. The original front panel has been 3D modelled and additional controls have been added for ease of use. The Filter envelope has its own set of ADSR controls and OSC1 and OSC2 have their own section for pitch modulation and PWM control. Finally, all controls receive MIDI controller numbers for the recording and replay of tweaks during a performance.

SETUP SCREEN
Accessing the additional parameter editing screen is a single mouse click away. On the setup screen you’ll find extra functions such as Wheel, Aftertouch and Breath control along with a variety of system-wide settings.

INSTANCES LIMITED ONLY BY THE POWER OF THE PC OR MAC IN USE
The Bass Station delivers a monophonic voice for each instance that is used. Call up an instance of the Bass Station and there is immediately a new bass or lead sound available that will sit beautifully in the mix. The ability to use multiple ‘instances’ allows the Bass Station to run as many multi-timbral parts as the power of the host computer will allow.

The multi-award-winning Bass Station Rack came packed with awesome presets that became the soundtrack for many of the dance hits of the 90s. Tiny God consists mostly of the creations of Russell Borogove, an unemployed software developer, who has been developing weird audio software in order to entertain and educate himself. This primarily consists of plug-in components for VST hosts such as Audiomulch, plus a few stand-alone programs.

VST is Virtual Studio Technology, Steinberg's specification for plug-in components for their Cubase digital audio workstation software. In short, a VST plugin can receive, manipulate, and send chunks of digital audio data in conjunction with a bunch of other components; this allows users to expand their capabilities a piece at a time, much like buying new effects units or synthesizers at your local music gear dealer, without having to throw away all your existing musical equipment. The VST format is available on both Windows and Macintosh platforms; besides VST, there are platform-specific standards for this kind of software: DXi on Windows, and AU on Mac OS X, to name two.
