Ridiculously Red - a monophonic hybrid
virtual studio instrument:
● three continuous oscillator selection banks
● one continuous noise oscillator
● gate switches for each bank and noise oscillator
● pulse width control for each bank
● coarse and fine tune controls for each bank
● gate switches and amount control for additive noise to each bank
● three buttons for experimental semi-modular routing
● three modifiers to control experimental semi-modular routing
● amplitude envelope controls for each bank: Delay, Attack, Peak, Hold,
Delay1,Break-Point, Delay2, Sustain, Release, and Overall level
● three unique LFOs with oscillator bank routing destinations
● envelope retriggering and portamento controls
● patch independent velocity and volume controls
● knob automation bank with on/off switches, smoothness control,
knob rotation amount, & rotation speed
● 63 non-automated patches, 64 knob automated patches, plus one
blank patch

vurtbox is the brainchild of vurt.. a long time fan of krakli synths and master synthesist. vurt is famous for his synthetic soundscapes and rythmically driven ambient pieces, so it was only fitting that he conceived a synth quite unlike any other.. The sounds are suprising and the gui is bizarre! This release contains 32 presets from the man vurt himself and 16 from patch-meister Tim Conrardy and hopefully more to follow.. Please note that this synth is capable of consuming HIGH levels of CPU (if you find it too much check out the mini-vurtbox, also from Krakli), also note that in some cases the output can be very loud so take caution with your speaker levels ...

that's what BitBoy sounds like.
You can get SID sounds... Atari blips... Genesis leads... all LFO'd and FX'd to hell and back.

This is a very simple synth but it is still capable of creating a surprisingly broad palette of timbres. It is set-up to allow users to becaome familiar with the process of synthesis. It's preset bank takes you through each section of the instrument, showing how they affect the sound. Rather than go through everything here you should load the synth and experiment with it yourself. After all, synthesis is a hands-on thing and experimentation is where you will learn most quickly.
