Roccaforte Amps:
Rock and Roll music has always been the biggest lure influencing many who hear it for the first time to go out and start playing guitar. I can still hear the first few notes I ever heard echoing in my ears. Wanting those Classic Rock tones that motivate us to play, drives us even harder. Many of these classic tones were recorded in studios that used vintage tube recording gear, old microphones and vintage tape recording machines. So, in our modern times, we're forced to try and find quality gear that will get us there tonally, without having to time travel. Roccaforte Amplifiers are built to fill this need.
Each HATCHER amp is dynamically different, it has it's own voice. Our cabinets are built by MOJO Tone (finger jointed pine)and slightly modified by us (just the way we mount the speakers). Today's cabinets are produced with modern methods and materials, plywood, particle board, glues, etc., all of which produce a controlled, uniform sound. We mount our speakers directly to a pine baffle board and then mount the baffle board, wood to wood, to the pine cabinet. We use the wood's natural resonant properties to enhance the sound. Instead of the speaker frame being mounted to a rigid or otherwise vibration absorbing material, ours are mounted to live wood baffle boards which resonates in response to the speaker cone. This response alters or changes the mechanical frequency of the cone ever so slightly and at different resonant frequencies. This gives the sound of the speaker a little character ...

The red bear line of amplifiers was the creation of russian amplifier designer, sergei novikov. novikov at the time was known as one of the major tube amplifier experts in eastern europe, russia and all of the former soviet union.
red bear amplifiers were designed to offer exceptional tonal response from a sweet, clear, clean sound to bone crushing, heavy-metal distortion. they were truly professional amplifiers that were built to deliver years of musical satisfaction and outstanding performance. each red bear amplifier was hand made by the skilled workers at novik, ltd. in st. petersburg, russia. red bear amplifiers were a joint collabortaion between novik, ltd. and the gibson guitar corporation, nashville, tennessee.
red bear amplifiers use a very simple and straight forward apporoach to the control layout. they are some of the best sounding tube amplifiers ever created and are, especially when comparing them to the tube amplifiers on the market today, very low-cost, an excellent combination. sadly, the red bear line was eventually dropped by gibson, and in the us, red*bear amps, like their owners, are relatively few in number.
the red*bear amplification website was started in early 1999 in an effort to bring together red bear users. it was created after experiencing first hand the true quality of these amplifiers. it was also my goal to create the best source of information on such great amps because of the lack of other resources on the internet. this site is the product of many red*bear user contributions and the work of several great people. many thanks to those who have contributed and to those who have helped me with this site.
