The finest in handmade instruments
I build a limited number of guitar and mandolin family instruments. My goal is always to build the finest custom instrument to meet each player's discriminating needs. I enjoy providing an instrument that a musician can own and play with as much pride as I took when I built it.
Tailored to meet your needs for look, playability & tone.
All instruments are warranted for life to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship ...
From the start of Kragenbrink Guitars in 2001 it has been my goal to build high quality, individually unique, hand crafted acoustic guitars, and to share this passion and journey with others.
Commissioning a guitar from me is always more than just picking tone woods and a model. The process is long and extremely detailed. Through the build we will be in almost constant contact, discussing every facet of your guitar to the Nth degree, and in the process forge a long lasting friendship, built on a common love of the acoustic guitar.
A complete Custom Guitar Shop offering the best in repairs, restorations, and custom instruments, in the Los Angeles area.
Country, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Classical, Folk, and Fusion, all require different approaches to stringed musical instruments. Each style has its own balance of woods, strings, acoustics, and electronics. By working with many top guitarists and bassists from around the world, we have developed repair and customizing techniques to meet the high quality demands for both studio and stage instruments.
Our product development has resulted in superior acoustical instrument pickups and electronic interfacing. Electric guitars and basses, too, have benefited from our many upgrades and pickup systems, for example, noise reducing methods which provide superior signal quality as well as hum canceling. We discovered long ago that no amount of signal processing can make up for an instrument which doesn't sound right; if you get it right at the source, the rest is easy.
Our experience with manufacturers has taught us one very important lesson: they always accept compromises! For many reasons, good designs are often lost in the production stage. Some ideas might prove to be too labor intensive; or perhaps their suppliers can't deliver and they must accept parts substitutions. All too often manufacturers don't understand how real musicians use their products on stage or in the studios. This leaves room for many aftermarket modifications, and that is where we at Neely Custom Guitars come in... working for you! ...
