The USB ASIO driver is the solution. It enables buffersizes down to 32 samples (0.73 ms) and does an ultra highspeed USB audio connection, bypassing the operating system's audio.
This does not only give you low latencies but better sound quality also.
Access, Apogee, Audiotrak, ESI (formerly known as EgoSys), Media-Assistance, Mindprint, Novation, Sound Devices, Soundgraph, Steinberg, Swissonic, Terratec and Yamaha decided to license and bundle this driver. So fully functional custom drivers are available for Access Virus TI, Apogee MiniME, Apogee MiniDAC, Audiotrak Maya 44 USB, ESI U2A, ESI U24, ESI Gigaport AG / DG, Media-Assistance USB One, Mindprint DI-MOD USB, Novation ReMote 25 audio / X Station, Novation Speedio, Sound Devices USB pre, Soundgraph D-Vinyl, Steinberg MI2, Steinberg MI4, Swissonic USB Studio (D), Terratec Phase 26 USB, Yamaha UW10 and Yamaha UW500.
