Born in Quebec, Stéphane is developing his professional career from various aspects: Educator, Clinician, Musician and Author. He remembers always being fascinated by and attracted to the drums. He studied with many professors from the Quebec City area, and at the Conservatory of Music in Quebec.
After having seen an animated drum clinic given by legendary Dom Famularo, there was no doubt that he wanted to play drums for a living, because it was his passion. He chose to organize his life for drumming work.
Since 1999, he studied (and keeps on studying) with the best drumming educators: Long Island (Dom Famularo, Jim Chapin, John Favicchia); New York (Bobby Sanabria, Billy Ward, Robby Ameen); New Jersey, (John Riley, Joe Bergamini) and Toronto (Paul DeLong, Rick Gratton, Jeff Salem).
In 2000, he was awarded a grant from Foundation CHABOU and a Merit Certificate from the Town of Quebec. In 2002, he obtained a grant from The Council of Arts of Canada as a professional artist in the continuation of improvement. In 2003, he was the recipient of the Larrie London Percussive Art Society Scholarship of The P.A.S. ...

Mike Orris, Jr. was born on July 16th, 1985 in Reno, Nevada. His early childhood was filled with inspiration from his Father who would practice in front of him on an old Ludwig drum set. His aspirations grew more and more for the instrument and by the time when he was forced to live with his Aunt and Uncle when he was a young child, the drums came right along with him. At the age of nine he had the drums set up in a converted garage in the back of his parent's house. With no schooling and a natural feel for music Mike progressed rather quickly and was playing with an extreme metal band by the time he was ten years old.
As well as his love for drumming Mike found an interest in playing the guitar and the bass and quickly came to understand the instruments and began writing music. His first performance with an original band was when he was thirteen years old and since then he has been performing, recording, and achieving his goals. At the age of thirteen Mike began to practice on a regimented schedule and learned the fundamentals that he skipped over in the previous years which included diversifying his capabilities and styles, learning rudiments, listening to great drummers and musicians, etc. He states that his knowledge and skill of other instruments has definitely helped his playing in all aspects because he can feel, sense, and understand where the other musicians are coming from within a musical situation. He believes that it makes his playing flow more easily and more freely when playing with others ...

Not only is Victor one of the best sessions drummers there is, he also does song writing and music production too!
I discovered this talented musician when Dave Gahan came out with his solo cd "Paper Monsters". I saw them in concert and was amazed at how much fun Victor seems to have when he is performing. Then I caught him on an old Saturday Night Live show with Beck. Man this guy can play! So I started listening to some of the cds he has appeared on. I discovered all kinds of good music. If you have not heard of Victor check out my other pages.
Be sure to check out the Discography page to see the wide variety of music he has done.I bet you will find some very familiar artists!
