Golden Mastering specializes in high quality mastering for compact discs and lacquer mastering for vinyl. This family run business combines extensive knowledge with a friendly and helpful service to deliver great results.
Started in 1993 by John Golden, Golden Mastering has maintained a reputation as one of the most popular and well respected mastering studios for the independent record industry. By the time he was ready to start his own facility, John Golden had already made a name for himself at K Disc, where he put the finishing touches on entire catalogues of releases, including Sub-Pop, SST, Kill Rock Stars and K Records. At Golden Mastering, John has taken his reputation and turned it into a family operation.
John's son J.J. joined forces with his father in 1998 and has become an accomplished mastering engineer in his own right. This father and son team are further augmented by John's daughter April, who as studio manager keeps things running smoothly.
We've recently added a second room for CD Mastering in the Analog and/or Digital domain.
Welcome to Freq Mastering, the site for the Northwest's newest, coolest, best equipped audio mastering facility. From the moment you cross over the threshold of Freq's lobby it's readily apparent that this place is something special. Eclectic to say the least, suddenly the name comes full circle.
Arizona is the mastering room of Jeroen Schilder. Besides good monitoring and some special gear it is all about listening: listening to your music and to you, and how you want to present your songs. The sound, the sequence, the volume build-up -or not! - and even the lengths of the pauses will influence the perception of your project. And your CD can benefit from it.
