The Blues Jumpers gained national attention in 1997 with the release of their debut CD Wheels Start Turning (Ridge Recordings) and the 1998 release Swingin' Holiday (National). Under the direction of band leader/drummer Joseph Geary, the band toured extensively and received crtical acclaim. Although Geary went through a series of different musicians, he managed to keep the sound consistent and the band's following in tact. "I've been fortunate to have worked with a lot of wonderful musicians. That's enabled me to bring together different people for our tours yet keep a solid sound."

Winnie says: ‘In 1992 Ritch and me started Blue Moon Special with Huub Urlings on double bass with the concept we still have today: Rock 'n' Roll with two saxophones, tenor and baritone. To name a few horns we had in the band: Onno van Swighem and Erwin van der Does, Paul Berding and Floor Massee, Sebastian Ohm, Wouter Kiers and Ruud de Vries. For the last couple of years we have on baritone Erwin van der Does and Quinten Kray on tenor, and hopefully for years to come! Hans van der Velde is a steady factor on double bass since 1997.
We are inspired by Big Band- and combo Swing, Rhythm & Blues, Eddie Cochran, Django Reinhardt, Gene Krupa, Big Jay McNeely, Johnny Otis, Benny Goodman and more.
We are vintage freaks in our own way and old enough to be called experts. I mean the stuff we play and the stuff we play on. And all for one reason, play our brand of Rock 'n' Roll.

Monty Banks, voted "Best Lounge Act" in Las Vegas, interprets the great jazz standards with a characteristic rhythm he calls: "Lounge-A-Billy Swing." Seattle Magazine calls it "rat-pack inspired," a mirthful mix of danceable big-band swing, melodic jazz standards, and hopped-up rockabilly boogie jump. Las Vegas Weekly says: "Banks is like a straight shot back to the Rat Pack days, a Vegas lounge singer who loves his audience, performing with class and style. " There's a toe-tapping lightness that infuses everything the High Rollers play, from understated backround music to the more dynamic showband, swing-dance, and rock-a-boogie styles.
Monty Banks, Vegas-style crooner, pianist, bandleader, arranger, and comic entertainer from Seattle, brings the excitement of "Sin City" to "The Emerald City" and "The Big Apple." With bands located in both Seattle and Las Vegas, Monty travels frequently between cities, bringing his high energy entertainment to the famed Las Vegas Strip, cosmopolitan jazz clubs of New York City, and "swelegent" gatherings throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The playlist ranges from songs made famous by Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, lounge icons Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, to jazz geniuses Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and Henry Mancini. For cocktail or dinner music there's the pensive swing of Chet Baker, and for dancing there's the "swing rock boogie" of Nat King Cole and Louis Jordan.
