Guillaume LEROUX , born in Paris, France, in 1968, has grown "wild" surrounded by computers. His very first contact with computers was in 1982 when he bought his Vic20. As a single child, he has allways been very creative and imaginative. His first contact with music was with The Beatles, French Singer Georges Brassens and Ennio Morricone who will have the biggest influence on his own music. At the age of 18, he plays guitar and programs drum machine sequences in his bedroom in order to establish a "friendly" relationship with his neighbours. At this time, he listen to a wide variety of music, from classical movie soundtrack to punk, coldwave and hiphop, he becomes interested in the new sound called Acid House and ends up one night in his first "house party" in 1989.
French DJs Laurent Garnier and Erik Rug are performing every tuesday in one of the best club at this time in Paris, "La Loco". Guillaume start to produce a few tracks on his amiga, mainly for the demo scene. Going every week end to parties helps him to meet peoples involved into the early rave scene in Paris. In 1991, french leading DJ Guillaume La Tortue gives him his first opportunity to perform in a club called "The Sheherazade". Later, in june 1992, Guillaume will perform for the very first time as Lunatic Asylum together with DJ Olive and DJ Luigi in south of France. Followed by other gigs in several rave parties like the largest ever made in Paris in 1992, Nostromo. During year 1992, he sends demos to several labels such +8 in detroit and Fnac Dance Division. After a positive feedback from +8, they finally decide not to go on since his music evolved into something that doesn't suits +8. He releases his first 12" "techno sucks vol.1" on Fnac and get a warm welcome from the european rave scene. Especially in Germany where harder music is more appreciate ...

Ten eerste wil ik je welkom heten op de nieuwe DGN site. Zowel boven als onder water zijn de nodige veranderingen doorgevoerd. Het heeft nogal wat tijd gekost om alles klaar te krijgen, maar we zijn nu dan ook erg tevreden met het behaalde resultaat. Het eigelijk een soort van vicieuze cirkel iedere zoveel jaar krijgt ons magazine een nieuw jasje en iedere keer is er een andere reden verantwoordelijk voor. Wijzigingen van team, mode en we hebben natuurlijk diverse crashes achter de rug. Nog steeds vergeten we op tijd back-ups te maken. Het gevolg was dat er telkens weer een nieuwe site moest worden gebouwd. Hiervoor werd iedere keer weer een nieuw of oud slachtoffer gevonden. Zo maakte Ron de EHA site (voorloper van DGN) meerdere malen, waarna Bjorn het lange tijd gedaan heeft, toen ik, toen Bjorn weer, en ik weer echter samen met Ramon (Fuentez) en nu is het Cor Paul (BabyBoom) die het meeste werk heeft gedaan. Hierbij de credits voor hem dus. Door het telkens opnieuw opzetten van de site zijn er ook items bijgekomen of juist verdwenen ...
