Elephant Talk, also affectionately known as ET, is a digest-format newsletter distributed by electronic mail, and available on the WWW. It was started in August 1991 by its editor and moderator, Toby Howard. The Elephant Talk Web site got its own domain name in December 1997, was designed by Daniel Kirkdorffer, and is maintained by Nadim Haque with help from many others. Readers and contributors swap information, write reviews, answer queries, collaborate on discographies, transcribe music, or just chat about frippery in general. Robert Fripp has access to Elephant Talk, and occasionally contributes. Anyone with access to electronic mail or the WWW is welcome to subscribe to Elephant Talk. It's free!
OK, people. You all seem fixated, I dare say HYPNOTIZED, by all my damn effects boxes. So here you go: all about my NEW PEDAL BOARD, being used with Wilco and anything else I can find to drag all 75 pounds of it (including swanky road case) to! I confess that it is a bit irritating to me that people seem so fixated on HOW MANY pedals I have ...
THE BOARD:
1) Boss tuner
2) Voodoo Lab Pedal Power II
3) Fulltone Deja Vibe the little one, non-stereo)
4) Digitech Whammy Pedal (the original model)
5) Z-Vex Fuzz Factory
6) Ernie Ball volume pedal (I've managed to break 5 of these things over the years, but still I persist...)
7) Crowther Audio Hot Cake overdrive
8) Boss CS3 Compressor
9) Boss Vibrato Pedal
10) Fulltone '69 Fuzz
11) Klon Centaur overdrive
12) ProCo Rat distortion (modified)
13) Boss DD-2 digital delay
* floating on and off the pedal planet:
Cry Baby wah-wah (not pictured)
14) Electro Harmonix The POG
15) Block of wood: custom made (for my foot during lap steel moments).
