A group of lads from London were drawn together by their love for a style and music that outclassed anything around. The music was hot jive that had the beat, energy and enthusiasm of rock ‘n’ roll and the fun and rhythm of big band swing all rolled into one.
Their musical journey took them from Elvis Presley to Bill Hailey and from Louis Prima to Frank Sinatra. This was the sound that excited the guys so much that they quickly started dancing and would often be seen tearing up the floor when hot bands came to town. The dancing became a musical learning ground with one common theme: foot tapping, swinging, spirit-raising fun. The lads loved dancing but it was difficult finding bands that they could really swing to, so they turned their talents to making hot music themselves ...

Jellyrol: Born out of the Swing revival of the early 90's, Jellyrol has, in the ensuing years, forged a sound that is at once assured and fine-tuned with freshly conceived arrangements, yet firmly steeped in the traditional form. From the beginning the band has embraced a danceable, stylish sound, which they continue to expand upon while remaining faithful to the music's core elements.
Belinda Blair, the charismatic, smokey-voiced lead vocalist, blends impeccable phrasing with fiery blues overtones to achieve a sound that's as warm and traditional as a Sunday afternoon in the park, but at the same time, something altogether new and distinct. Miss Blair is a savvy performer, having led numerous bands through sultry venues of Paris, London, Zurich, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. She possesses a sound, either live or recorded, that is distinctly her own, and lingers long after the needle lifts or stage goes dark.

J Street Jumpers:
They are one of the East Coast's most popular swing bands! The Jumpers create a sound that is a restoration, rather than a renovation, of the classic swing and jump-blues of the '30s, '40s, and '50s. Find out about the band's sound and their musical roots by taking a tour of J Street.
Combining the swing of Count Basie, the beat of Buddy Johnson, the New Orleans lilt of Fats Domino, and the passion of Dinah Washington, the J Street Jumpers are one of the East Coast's most popular Jump Blues bands. They've garnered the respect of the Washington music community as well, evidenced in 2003 by Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) Wammie Awards wins for the Sixth year in a row: Best Big Band - Swing Duo/Group, Best Big Band - Swing Recording and Best Jazz. Their CD release, Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby, was named to The Washington Post's list of favorite local CDs of 1998 ...
Many of the band members have more than three decades of experience playing jump-blues and swing-jazz. Their extensive repertoire keeps even the most demanding audience on the floor and begging for more. The infectious beat is enhanced by their showmanship and tremendous soloists.
