They've been at it for well over 20 years! During that time, they've collected the finest big band library - not modern, glib arrangements, but the original, hard swingin' charts that made swing music ageless -and that's what makes the Tom Cunningham Orchestra the best for dancing, the best for listening, and the best! ...

Taxihorns:
Taxi Horns was originally established in 1983. Featuring drums, bass, guitar, trombone, trumpet and saxophone, the Taxi Horns Group plays a popular selection of evergreens and blues from the golden days of swing. The band is inspired by famous jazz artists such as Fats Waller, Benny Carter, Coleman Hawkins, Count Basie, Lester Young, Roy Eldridge, Oscar Peterson, Johnny Hodges, Ben Webster, and Duke Ellington. While only a 6-piece band, its streamlined and smooth arrangements often make the Taxi Horns sound like a small big band ...
Seven-piece band from Copenhagen playing mostly 1940s and 50s music such as Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and Count Basie, with three horns.

I can remember Mrs. Blackburn’s hands pressing my six year old fingers on the keys of our old piano for my lessons while I was thinking about pirates, cowboys and baseball…I only learned one song in a year called “Indian War Chant” or something with parallel fifths…sort of boogie-esque. The thrill of finding a harmonica in my Christmas stocking…hearing my Dad’s Hank Williams Sr. and Ernest Tubb records and really loving that sound. Mom’s and Daddy Red’s (her Dad, my grandfather) big band and jazz records…some I loved and some I didn’t dig because they were too white and devoid of soul ...
