Throbber consists of an LFO driving a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) or multi-mode filter (VCF). Throbber is inspired by the description of the famous Throbbing Gristle "Gristleizer" effect box designed by Chris Carter, but is not intended to be an accurate simulation thereof.
AlliGater (freeware): A very powerful gater that introduces some new and unheard features to influence your sound way beyond Off-On-Off-On. Especially the powerful MIDI implementation offers many interesting possibilities!
AlliGater Pro (shareware): This is the extended version. It offers a much wider range of tempo synchronisation options, syncs playback to the start of the host and has extended value ranges for the "time" knobs. It also has 16 presets instead of 1 and, most important, you can not only gate the volume, but may also route the gate envelope to panning and cutoff or resonance of an internal filter!
cairo is a tempo synchronized gate effect. choose a gate speed, and modify the envelope to cut up your audio into different sized slices, with soft or smooth edges. a biquad filter, soft distortion, and overall mix round out the effect. version 1.1 adds the randomizer and improved UI control over the speed setting.
