Description
Singer/songwriter Wes King was born in Winder, Georgia on January 20, 1966. After picking up the guitar at the age of 14, he wrote his first songs two years later; after studying the Bible at Covenant College, he relocated to Franklin, Tennessee. Wes signed with Reunion Records and recorded his first solo LP The Ultimate Underlying No Denying Motivation in 1990. After issuing Sticks and Stones a year later, King resurfaced in 1993 with The Robe. 1995's Common Creed was his biggest hit to date, notching three CHR chart-toppers -- "Life Is Precious," "The Love of Christ" and the title cut. In 1997, King issued A Room Full of Stories, his most acclaimed effort yet followed by What Matters Most in 2000.

Jason Barker is a guitarist and songwriter based out of the Raleigh-Durham and Chapel Hill area of North Carolina, also known as the Triangle. He composes lyrical and instrumental songs infused with a variety of styles including rock, progressive blues, and country-rock while embracing an improvisational spirit and intention to channel his musical influences into an original statement .
Barker, who attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has enjoyed steady activity as a session and live guitarist for more than a decade, and has been fortunate to work with many well-known and talented musicians. His versatility has allowed him to thrive in original and cover band situations. "Being a guitarist is a very challenging yet rewarding thing for me," says Barker. "I look at it as an ongoing learning experience. I've played with a lot of proficient people and have learned a great deal even in those situations that might not have developed as much as I would have liked them to," he reminisces. "The knowledge I've been able to gain by writing, recording, traveling and performing live with different people of varying styles has been invaluable to me both onstage and off."

Together with super producer/songwriter and long time pal David Foster he is also known to die-hard fans in Europe and Asia as the co-founder of "Westcoast Music". Learn to play cool and easy fingerstyle solos in the style of Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, Paul Simon, with Muriel's sense of finesse and style.
Workshop #4: Connecting The Heart To The Hands
Explore the techniques and philosophy to better playing and becoming a more sensitive musician. Muriel's open-minded attention to detail allows her to connect with the core or emotion in each style of music.
